LONDON, Julv 18.

Overseas' visitors to London were entertained royally yesterday, beginning with a garden parly at Hampton Court Palace, at which they were the guests of the tiovernment. Three thousand assembled. not all of them from overseas, but each having some interest in Empire affairs.

Colonel Arnery's reception lasled near Iv two hours.

The scone in the lovely gardens, under almost tropical sunshine, was brilliant and a veritable pageant of Kinpire. The Duke and Duchess of Wellington held an “at home" to overseas visitors at the famous Apslev House. The Duke and Duchess of ork s party in the evening was most successful, ' the. fine old state rooms of St. James’s Palace forming a splendid setting. The guests included Lord and Lady Stonehaven, Sir Joseph and Lady Cook. Sir Janies and Lady Allen, lion, George and Mrs Fairhairn. Lord and Lady Jellicoe, Sir Tom and Lady Fridges, Lord and Lady Novar, Hon. 11. P. and Mrs Colebatche, Sir Newton and Lady Moore, the Bishop of I‘oekhampton. and ■ Miss Crick.
