At St. John’s Methodist Church, the Rev. H. 151amires will conduct both service. A family service will her held in the morning. At the evening service, the address on “The Joy of Coming Home” will he specially of interest to young men and women. The Rev. Dr. R. A. Van der Las will arrive in Nelson on Sunday morning, specially to conduct the 77th anniversary services in Trinity Presbyterian Church. The Rev. J. McNeill will preach in St. Andrew’s Church, Wellington.
The 77th anniversary of Trinity Presbyterian Church is being observed tomorrow, the special preacher being the Rev. Dr. R. A. Van der Las, of Bethany Presbyterian Church, Seattle, U.S.A. At the morning service. Dr. Van der Las will preach on “An Old Testament Masterpiece,” and the choir will sing the anthem, “Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem.” At t'he evening service the subject is entitled, “The Secret of Victory,” and Mrs Hunter will sing the solo “But the Lord is mindful of His people.” Major Elder, of Wellington, will bp conducting Sunday’s meetings at the Salvation Army. At 7 p.m. the Major's subject is “The Fox-Proof Wall.” Read the advertisement and come.
There will be an evangelistic service at the Baptist Church to-morrow evening, when Mr Roy Nees, of Wellington, will give an address on “Bearing Marks.” The choir will sing the redemption hymn “Likeness to Christ.” There will be a. Bible Class rally and tea commencing at 4.30. There will be ». Communion service at 12 noon. At the morning service Rev. J. Laird will speak on “The Unveiled Heart.” At the Church of Christ a young men’s service will be held at 6.30. the subject being “Biggest at the Top.” The preacher will be Mr Fitzgerald
