WELLINGTON, This Day

Herbert Edwards, of Masterton, was driving to Masterton last evening with Hugh Manson, off Wallaceville, and Herbert Keye, of Masterton, when, lie mistook an old road for one leading to the bridge over the Pakaratahi stream. The ear fell over the bank twelve feet into the riyer. Manson and Keye were able to scramble out and obtained assistance from a nearby Public Works camp; but when the car was lifted Edwards was drowned.
