SUPREME COURT
NELSON SESSION The usual quarterly session of the Supreme Court will commence in Nelson to-morrow morning, before his Honour Mr Justice Alpers. Following cases have been set down for hearing: CRIMINAL Rex v. William Herbefc Moxey; alleged bookmaking (re-trial). Rex v. Maurice Vvvian Maxwell; alleged bookmaking (re-trial). Rex v. Aibert. Peard; alleged theft of a motor ear. Rex v. Charlotte McKenna, alleged opening of a postal packet. CIVIL (Before Judge alone). James A. Anderson ,v Harry- Coltman; damages for alleged breach of contract. Mary Moyey v. Robert John Acheson ; order for return of moneys alleged to have been received and statement of account. Garnet V. Mercer v. Leslie N. Montgomery and George Rogers; declaration as to covenant in lease. Albert J. S. Pawson and George H. Hammond v. Frank Gibbons; injunction and damages. IN DIVORCE Eileen I. E. McAlister v. James W. McAllister, petition for dissolution on grounds alleged adultery. OTHER- BUSINESS
Several other civil cases are set down for decision.
(United Prosq GISBORNE, This Day. Tlie Supreme, Court opened this morning. Judge Ostler was weicomd by the Law Society. The Grand Jury returned no bill on a charge of murder against Thelma Maule. a young woman employed in a country hotel, who had given birth to a child without nroper attention. True bills were found in ad other cases.
