VISIT OF H.M.S. DUNEDIN

ARRANGEMENTS FOR NEXT WEEK A special meeting of the entertainment committee in connection with the visit of H.M.S. Dunedin will be held tins evening at 7.30 to discuss matters in connection with the concert, tug of war, etc. to be held at Trafalgar Park on Tuesday night. In addition to the gathering at the

Park, at which the ship's band lias been invited to take part, a visit to Motucka. is being arranged for Wednesday. On Thursday there will be a cricket match in the afternoon, and swimming and other events at the Port, arranged by the Sea Scouts and Swimming club. On Friday another cricket match will be played at the Park. On Saturday a, rifle match, arranged by the Defence Rille club will take place. The officers and men will also be the guests of the Motor Cycle club at their

races at Richmond. On Sunday morning a church parade will be held and in the afternoon the men will be the guests at the Y.M.G.A. and W.C.T.U. at afternoon tea. It may be mentioned that the Park will be specially lighted for Tuesday evening and the Port on Thursday. Efforts are being made to provide sufficient ears to carry the men to Motueka and it is hoped these will be successful.
