At the English Park stadium last night Willie Spencer, the crack American cyclist, made his first appearance in the Dominion. He won bis heat in the half mile in 63 l-ssees., but was beaten by C. J. Snowden in the final by two lengths. The time was 64 2-5 sees. In the two miles invitation scratch race lie retired owing to o puncture. The race was won by P. CDS lieu in 4 mins. 20secs.
