NELSON METHODIST Y.M.B. CLASS
A very enjo'yiible and interesting function was held "at Mr Benycn’s tea rooms yesterday evening, when a number of ' past and present members of St. John’s Class assembled for a re-union tea. Among those present were Old Boys who have returned to Nelson for their Christmas vacation from Marton, Wafclganiu A Wellington, Invercargill) and Motueka. Others at present in Nelson from other parts were unable to attend. At the close of the tea, the President of St. John’s Class, Rev. H. L. Blamires, briefly welcomed the Old Boys and expressed his appreciation of the gathering, and added that it could not fail to be a stimulus to the leaders and the members of the class when they saw young men going out from St. John’s, to other places/ and keeping up a keen interest in 'the Bible Class movement. The secretary of the local union of the Methodist Young Mens’ Movement seconded the President’s remarks, pointing out the possibilities of the Bible Class movement if each individual member seeks to uphold the Bible Class ideals wherever ho may be situated. Several of the Old Boys replied, expressing their pleasure at the opportunity thus given for meeting witli old class mates, and for renewing and strengthening the bonds of friendship. The feeling of all present at the conclusion of the happy re-union was that > a similar gathering should be.held at every Christmas season,
