WASHINGTON, ’October 2
A coalition between the Democratic, and La Follettc forefes, particularly in the Western States, with the evident purpose 6f forcing the election of president into Congress, is a. charge made here by ‘ William Butter, chairman of the Republican National Committee. The logical outcome, if the election is throw'll into Congress, Mr Butler declares, will lie the election of a presi-dent-by the-Senate. Eor this reason ho considers that Charles Bryan, the Demo-cratic'vice-presidential candidate, is perhaps the most important opponent of President Coolidge. Nevertheless the chairman predicts the decisive election of the Republican ticket.
