Groat Hope was out by himself at the end of six furlongs, the order of tho others being unchanged, and at the mile post Great Hope was just clear of Harry Audubon and Vilo. Starting on the last lap Hairy Audubon joined Great Hope in tho lead, while close behind this pair came Vilo v Albert Cling, Snowshoe, Man o’ War, and Great Bingen. Running along the hack Vilo and Snowshoe moved up to the leading pair. Great Hope dropped 1 out three furl-ongs. from home, where Onyx commenced to move up fast on the outside. Harry Audubon and Snowshoe were just jn front of Vilo and Great Bingen at the entrance' to the straight, but Gnyx, finishing with a. brilliant run, nun by two lengths.’ Great Bingen on the rails, beat Harry Audubon by a neck for second place, with Vilo another neck away, fourth.
