NELSON ASSOCIATION’S TOURNAMENT

FOUR TEAMS HE FOR FIRST PLACE

In the Nelson Cribbage Association’s tournament Old Navals and Tahuuanui met last night.. Great interest attached to this game, as a victory for Old Navals made them the winners of the championship, while a win for Tahuuanui meant that four teams would tie for first place with 8 wins and 7 losses each. In the end Tahunanui won by 14 gamea to 11, play being very even till the last few games. The position reached is unique'in the history of the tournaments, and entails a play off amongst t,ho four teams. The draw for this is—Bailway play Old Navals on Tuesday next; Tahunanui play Albions on Wednesday; and the respective winners meet on Thursday for the deciding game. Scottish , and Citizens play , this evening, but. this game does not affect the result. Both these teams, however, are close up to the leading teams, having six wins each. V '
