WEDDING

KELLING—DOUGLAS

The wedding was solemnised at the All Saints’ Church, Nelson, on July 21st, of Miss Ethel Douglas, only daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Douglas, of Nelson, to Mr Theodore F. F. Kelling, only son of Mr aud Mrs 0. Kelling, of Molueka. The Rev. F. Pring-Rowe was the officiating minister, and the organ was in the capable hands of Mr H. D. Williams, who played Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March.” r lhe bride, who was given away by her father, Mr A. Douglas, wore a. frock of white brocaded satin with radium lace sleeves, and caught artistically at the side with a silver tissue ornament, with the usual veil aud orange blossoms, and carried a bouquet o 7 spring flowers and maidenhair fern with tulle streamers. The bride was attended by her two cousins, Miss Winnie Francois, who wore eau-do-nil .silk morocaine, and Miss Joy Douglas, who wore apricot charmeuse. Both wore hats to match and carried posies of seasonal flowers and maiden hair fern. The bouquets were tastefully arranged by Mrs H. D. Williams, a friend of the bride. Mr P. Wood ably carried out- the duties of best man. The guests were afterwards entertained at a sumptuous breakfast at the “Haeramia. The bride’6 mother received her guests charmingly attired in black brocade with .black and white hat. Th& bride and bridegroom left by special car, amid showers of confetti. The bride travelled in a nigger brown coat frock heavily braided, with a smart toque to match.
