TAI.HAPE, This Day. With reference to. a story of alleged sandbagging at Taihape, as told by George Cnthbert Turnbull in the Wanganui Hospital, the police here state that the story is quite unfounded. Turnbull told tho same story atIfunterville, where he was treated bv a doctor and advised to inform til© police, but refrained from doing so.
