WELLINGTON, This Day. The scope of State insurance will be widened if the Government Insurance Amendment Bill, which was read a first time in the House yesterday passes. The purpose of the Bill is to transfer from the Government Insurance Department to State Fire Department, the accident branch and extend the powers of the accident branch from insurance of persons to insurance of property, such as plate glass, motor cars, etc.
