A disastrous (ire. resulting in heavy damage, occurred at Torsion,sons, Ltd., timber mill in (lie early hours of this morning. On the arrival of the brigade the (lames had a good hold and despite (he. strenuous efforts of Ihe brigade the main portion of the premises were completely destroyed. Forty thousand feet of joinery timber and much valuable, machinery were destroyed. The origin of tire fire is unknown. Four years ago the original factory on the same site, then owned by Soilitt Bros, Ltd., was destroyed. The amount of the damage at last night's fire is not ascertainable. The ruins are still smouldering.
