MINERS’ STRIKE
(United Press Association.)
WIIANGAREI, June 25
A report from Hikurangi states that the employees of Wilson’s Collieries struck last evening owing to the dismissal of one-man whom the company alleged was unable to earn the minimum wage. The miners contend that the dismissal is a species of victimisation. Workers in the other mines are not affected so far.
