NELSON RUGBY UNION
MEETING OF MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
A meeting of the ,Management Committee of the Nelson Rugby Union was held last evening. There were present: •Messrs K. Boon (president), H. Blincoe, E. J. Pahl, G. Johnson, J. T. Piki, G. Logan E. J. Kemnitz, H. Croucher, and the secretary (Mr F. Hare). It was resolved that £5 he allowed as expenses to the delegate attending the meeting of the N.Z.ILU. to. be held at Wellington. The delegate (Air Piki) was instructed to support a minimum charge of 1/6 for all Seddon Shield matches and to arrange for a 50-50 gate after present, deductions for all shield matches; and also to ascertain the exact boundaries of the' Golden Bay Union. It was resolved that footballs he given to the following schools: Boys’ Central (2), Richmond, Appleby, Hope, Brightwater, 'Wakefield, Hampden Street and Spring Grove. The Waimea Club was granted permission to play Rivals on 12t-h inst. A motion that the use of the Park bo given to the Wakatu Club for Saturday, providing the Cricket Association did not want it, was carried. Mr K. Boon was appointed sole selector for the season. v _ It was decided that married members of the committee he given a ladies’ ticket for the season. An application from the Pirate Club for the re-classification of G. Bennett, w;is not gran loci , and it was also dccided to ask the club to furnish further particulars as to Wallace and to forward list for classification. A recommendation was made to the Fixture Committee that the senior teams play three rounds; the juniors two, and the fourth grade two provisionally. It was decided to endeavour to arrange a conference with certain school teachers regarding school foot-hall. Several other matters were discussed before the Committee adjourned.
