BOILER MAKERS AND METAL WORKERS
CLAIMS FOR REDUCED WAGES AND LONGER HOURS
, (United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The ironmasters of the Dominion presented claims to the unions for a revision of wages and working conditions of boilermakers'-and metal workers. The unions have received proposals for a return to the 47 hour week instead of 44, and a wage of 2/- per hour in lieu of * 2/l§. A reduction is sought in overtime from time and a-half to time and a-quarter.
