Meat tradefair. Home lamb supjfiies coming forward more freely. New Zealand lamb quotations nominally unchanged. Alutton firm, short supplies in sight. New Zealand prices unchanged, except for Canterbury heavyweight. Chilled beef in heavy supply. 112 s per cwt to 1/- per Ih). “A shipment of New Zealand produce arrived (his week per s.s. Tairoa. HEMP Manila market, irregular and low grades have declined. Better grades more firmly held. "G” grade August-Oelo-ber shipments quoted at £35; “J” Aug-ust-September shipments sold for £3O; August-Oclober shipments now quoted at £3O buyers. New Zealand market unchanged. WOOL Better tone reported at Bradford, with fair inquiry for crossbred tops and raw material. ’ It is anticipated that values at next London series will he
maintained firmly, or possibly advanced somewhat. Piece goods trade is quiet, and demand favouring cheaper sorts. Present quotations are: Tops, 64s (merino), 5-; 56’s (super halfhred), 2/101; 40’s, prepared (coarse crossbred), 1/4EGGS Arrivals much smaller and demand steady. English, 21/- to 23/- per long 100. Irish, Danish, Dutch, French: 15/6 to 21/- per long 100. Polish, Chinese: 11/- to 11/6 per long 100.
