Y.AI.C.A. v. STOKE

On Wednesday last in the Y.M.C.A. gymnasium Stoke and Y.M.C.A. again tried conclusions on the tables. Stoke commenced very strongly and gave every indication of carrying back the honours with them . However, Y.M.C.A. wrested that from apparent doom and finally won by the narrow margin of two games. The Stoke team are lo be congratulated upon the remarkable progress which they have made since last meeting Y.M.C.A., and had they been deciding the match on points scored Stoke would have won by a comfortable 100 points, which gives a very good indication of the lend they established. The evening was further enjoyed both by players and spectators being able to thoroughly enjoy the supper which the women of the Y.M.C.A. kindly attended to, and the thanks of all ’players is heartily accorded them. Y.M.C.A. v. TOI TOI VALLEY On Friday evening last Y.M.C.A. and Toi Toi Valley tried conclusions oil the tables in the Y.M.C.A. gymnasium. This team played extremely well for a newly formed club, and it is to he hoped that after a few months’ practice they will be able to hold their own. Supper was again given by the ladies and was much appreciated by all, and their thanks to the ladies are again heartily accorded.
