Fisher ' Unwin published an interesting book by W. K. Humphries entitled "Patrolling in Papua." wilh an introduction by Judge Murray, who pays a tribute to the extraoi'dinary efficient but insufficiently appreciated wok clone by magistrates and patrol officers ;n "Papua. Air Humphries vividly describes the expeditions to Kerenia and Morobe. in German New Guinea. He was the lil'St to work out, a. definite mute, across the territory from sea to sea. An additional attraction in the book lies in the description and character of Ihe countrv customs and tribes and the daily work of the patrol officers.
