PRICE OF GAS TO BE REDUCED
The Wellington Gas Company lias decided to reduce the price of gas by dd per 1000 cubic feet, to operate as from 31st of December, (says _ the Post). This will make the net price of gas 7s lid per 1000 cubic feet. The last reducwas made on Ist September, and was 3d per 1000 cubic feet, so that by the end of the year there will be a fall in price of 7d ‘ per 1000 feet m three m As Mho price at Nelson throughout has been 6s 8d per thousand feet net, it will be seen that ratepayers have bad their mas verv much cheaper than elsewhere. Generally speaking the Weilington price is os low as other places in New Zealand.
