Her Excellency Viscountess Jcllicoc personally congratulated Miss Helena Smith and Miss Grace_ Coulter, prominent Blenheim winners in the light horse section at the A .and P. Show yesterday.
Mr M. Bush, who has been on tho local staff of Dalgety and Co. for several years, has been transferred to Hamilton on promotion. Mr Bush has been a useful active member of the local Operatic Society, and will be much missed from its ranks.
(.'■unstable Mackes, of Wellington, has been transferred to Nelson, and has taken up his duties.
Mr N. P. Adams, of Hauraki Gulf, is ot a visit to Nelson, accompanied by Alls Adams. It is the intention of Mr and Mrs Adams to pay a visit to South Africa next month.'
Tins Bishop of Nelson left hv Newnians’ car this morning foe Cheviot, whore he is due next Saturday. On Sunday next he will unveil a. beautiful stained glass window in the. chaneel of St. John’s Church, the grfl of Sara, Ladv 'Campbell, in memory of her eldest ‘son, Colonel Campbell who fell in the, war. The. Bishop hopes to return to Nelson on Wednesday ■ Mr and Mrs T. A. Turnbull are returning to Nelson from the Helcnsvillo Hot. Springs early in December.
