DEPUTATION TO SIR F. BELL (By Electric Telegraph.—-Copyright.) (Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, Oct. 13. Sir Francis Bell received a deputation of the New Zealand and Australian Agents Association, who urged the necessity for reducing the heavy taxation on companies having head offices in London, and asking that the New Zealand Government sanction the proposals of the New Zealand Taxation Committee, particularly in the removal of the double income tax and the adoption of the individual system of taxation. The deputation pointed out that some companies were taxed to the extent- of 11/9 in the £ in addition to the British' Corporation Profits tax. Sir F. Bell promised to lay the deputation's views before the Government, lie said he and the' Government recognised that companies represented wero doing good work for the Dominion, and instead of crippling them by taxation their suggestions should receive consideration as far as practicable.
