MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the General Committee of'the Nelson A. and I. As-" sociation was held at Richmond on baturdav evening: Present: Messrs J. A. Havcock (President, in the chair), G. W. Best, Godfrey Best, J. Biggar, T. Clusnall, 11. Croucher, J. Chirtg, R. H. Coleman, F. W. Hamilton, T. H. Holland, James Hunt, J. W. Hagen, A. Jellyman. F. Lusty, jnr., W. H. May, W. Max, G. L. Mead, 11. T. Palmer, F. C. Page, E. W. Win, J. Wadsworth, VV. S.°Snodgrass, F. W. Fairey. An. apology for absence was received. Votes of 'condolence were passed to Messrs P. Best and Ben Lewis in connection with bereavement suffered. Mr E. J. Bartlett was proposed as a new member. It was resolved to advertise the Show in Wellington and in the Farmers' Union Advocate.
Stewards were appointed as follows: Domestic Produce: Messrs J. Biggar, E. W. Win, F. Lusty, Jnr., and a lady to be selected by stewards. Draught Horses: Messrs George Best, J. Wadsworth, C. Ching. Light Horses: W. Max, R. 11. Coleman, G. L. Mead, F. Page, J. W. Hagen, J. Hunt, H. Croucher. Cattle: Messrs Harry Best, Gilbert Best, T. B. Chisnall, -W: H. Alborough. Milking Competition: J. A. Haycock. Pigs: F. W. Hamilton. Sheep: 11. T. Palmer, T. Holland, E. Wratten, W. Thorn, G. Macmahon. Dogs: W. S. Snodgrass. Poultry: E. Norris. Guessing Competition: J. Ching. Schoolwork: H. Harrison. Farm Produce: VV. Thorn, F. W. Fairey. Marshals: Geo. Macmahon, Hayes Croucher. Award Committee: . President, vicepresident, secretary, and senior steward of section affected. It was resolved, on the motion of Mr W. Max, that tenders be called for a band—minimum of 20 instruments. Further business is reported in otliei" columns in this issue.
