SELF-DENIAL APPEAL
The sale of produce, work, etc., in connection with the Salvation Army . SelfDenial appeal, was continued at the Theatre Royal last evening, when good business was again done. The sale was open again this afternoon, and will be concluded this evening. Mr H. Atxnore, M.P., was to have opened the sale this afternoon, but wired frbm ; Wellington regretting his inability to attend owing to his Parliamentary duties. The programme given under the direction of Mr J. Tait, A.R.C.0., was again much appreciated those taking part and the selections being as follow; —Piano duet, “The Village King,” Misses Elinor and Jean Inhes; song, with chorus, “Gaily the Troubadour,” Miss Rpna Cox and Singing Class; piano duet, “Spring’s Charm, v Miss Sybil and Master Maurice Fieldes; unison song. “The Mouse in the Moon,” Singing Class”; piano solo, “Tres Jolie,” Miss Edna Flatt; piano solos,,(a) “Slumber Song”, (b) “The Fair”, Miss Margaret Russell; beginners’ class demonstration; song, with chorus; “Home Again,” Miss Rona Cox and Singing Class; piano solo, “Merry Go Round,” Miss Jean Innes; song, "“Cherry Ripe,” Miss Rona Cox; piano solo,'“Harvest Home,’’ Miss Connie Hurford; piano solos, (a) “ Welcome to May,” (b) “Good Morning,” Miss Marion Graham; piano- solos, (a) “Berceuse in G” (Grieg”, (b) “Impromptu in A flat” (Mayer), Miss Maida Doidge; piano solo, “Andante and Rondo Capriccioso” (Mendelssohn), Miss Moino Dayman ; song, Mrs Warren Harris; piano solos (a) “Prelude in C sharp minor, (Rachmaninoff), (b) “Minuet in G (Paderewski), Miss Nora Taylor; song, Mrs Warren Harris.
