At the last meeting of the Marlborough Rugby Union Mr Bagge moved and Mr Patterson seconded, that the Union challenge Nelson for the Scddon Shield, the match to be played, if possible, on September 23. , n 7 i Messrs Fuller, Dick, and Wanden questioned the propriety of challenging for the Shield this season, but after some discusSlon the motion was earned by seven votes to six.
