Officers’ Association, addressed a large meeting of members of the Wellington section last night. Ho said members oC tbo Association luul been dearly advised of the issue before they voted. Ho claimed that nip,, less tho Alliance of Labour was proved to bo an illegal body the Association had the right to affiliate with it if it desired to- At present tho Association had three legal opinions to the effect that the Alliance was mot IUoThe meeting passed a resolution of confidence in the permanent secretary, and urged the executive to proceed with plans to affiliate with tho Alliance ot .Labour. The resolution was ''carried almost unanimously. . ».
