TROTTING CONFERENCE

WELLINGTON, This Day. The annual conference of represeuta lives of trotting clubs registered v
the New Zealand Association commenced this morning, Mr Rowe, president, presiding over about 35 delegates. After the president’s address a motion of regret was passed at the death of Messrs Manvcrs. Burton, Edwards, C. S. Howell and J. S. Williams,
A motion was passed congratulating Mr Geo. Hunter on the honours of Knighthood bestowed on him. The report and balance sheet were adopted. ‘ There was considerable discussion on tho question as to whether the President of the Association and executive officers should be entitled to a scat at the conference, and a remit from the New Brighton club proposed that tho rule should bo amended to exclude the President of tho Association, which was trying to force, rules on clubs against their will. The motion was lost on a show of hands.
Air Selig, on behalf of t|)ie Association, moved the following additional clause to rule 83; “Should a club warn off its course any person considered undesirable, such chib shall immediately notify the association of the full name, address and occupation of such' person and date ho was warned off and therefrom tho Association shall notify all registered clubs of such warning off.”
