A sad accident occurred last Tuesday at Paenga, Maruia, the iqfant son of Mr and Mrs Edntfit Burnett, while playing, fell backwards into a bucket of scalding water. D*. was sent for and all that could be done was done to relieve the little sufferer, who was immediately brought ipto (the Emergency Hospital, where died i» convulsions through shock. The body was conveyed to Dovedale and interred in the Dovedale Cemetery, the Rev. W. Wills, of Richmond, officiating at the funeral.
