ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
(United Frees Association.) INVERCARGILL, Feb. 4 John Isitt, aged 57 years, a farmer at West Plains, died suddenly whilt working on his farm at Waikiwi. He complained of feeling ill while working at a stack, and walked towards the farmhouse for a drink, but fell d.ead on the way, AUCKLAND, Feb. 4. A man named W. Anderson, a soldier, was admitted to The Hospital tonight suffering from a fracture of the base of the skull. Anderson is apparently dying. The injury is bfijieved to have been caused by a blow, and the police have arrested the alleged assailant on a charge of assault causing actual bodily harm.
