It is hoped that the Ministry of Supplies’ invitation for tenders for bricks, tiles, : and other * materials judicates that a national' housing programme is about to begin. Meanwhile the Local Government Board is, considering , schemes by municipal authorities for 150,000 work-ing-class houses.
