18 PEOPLE KILLED AT SCARBOROUGH
SHELLS FALL THREE MILES IX- * LAND. (Rec. Dec. 17, 12.40 a.m. DONDON, Dec. 16. It is reported that eighteen were killed at Scarborough. Thirty shells were thrown at Whitby. Some fell three miles inland. The damage "was chiefly in the Meadowfield ■district. A civilian died of injuries.
