THREE INQUESTS AT DUNEDIN,

DUNEDINY Aug. i?. The. District Coroner held three inquests to-day. The first was 'touching- . the •death, of an Italian sailor named Cordiglia Filippo, -who, whilst •■under the influence of delirium from typhoid fever,, jumped from a window at "the Dunedini i Hospital and died as the result of in- . jui'ies received. The second inquest was on, the remains of Catherine Finlayson, 80 years of a£e, • who was found .dead in her bed. Dr. . Martin gave it as his opinion that death, was duo to heart failure. In the third case the victim was Jaircc Watt, 75 years of ago, who was standing: near the fire warming herself when her clothes caught fh>e. A neighbour saw her standing in the doorway with her clothes blazing, and ho secured a piece of carpet and, drapping it around her, extinguished the flames, but. the unfortunate woman was so severely burnt that* she succumbed to her injuries. In eachi case a formal verdict was returned. AUCKLAND, This Dav.; The dead body of a man. believed to ,bo that of H. Hunter, a resident of Hoa»'hora. was found in the harbour. He was recently visiting the city.
