It was announced in the Chamber of Deputies that the Prefect at Naples had been removed from his post- as a. result of the Austro-Italian brawls, ho lmvins failed to carry out .the Government's instructions. (A cable published an the lltli inst. stated thai many anti-Austrian brawls were occurring at Venice, Verona, and Milan. Students burnt the Austrian flag in St. Mark's Square. Venice. The demonstrations were due to -the ,pro-Slav Go\ernor of Irioste refusing to employ Austrian subjects of Italian nationality.)
