(The death of the Emperor Menelik, ot Abyssinia, lias been reported on several occasions, only to be contijdicted later. So often, in fact, has his death been announced, that little credence was attached. to any message conveying the information. It would seem, however, that the news I'eceived by cable a few da\s auo was correct, having now 'been officially verified.)
