BUSH FIRES IN VICTORIA
NUMBER OF RESIDENCES DESTROYED.
[Pass* Association —Copyhight.) MELBOURNE, Dec. 22. Disastrous bush fires are raging in the Aspendale district. It is reported that a number of residences have been destroyed.
SEASIDE RESORT SWEPT. (Rec> 9.20 a.m.) Melbourne: This Day. The bush fire at Aspendale swept for miles along the foreshore, upon which stood a hundred houses, bungalows, and week-end camps. The damage is estimated at from £20,000 to £30,000. mostly covered by insurance.
