SHACKLETON FRAUD CASES

Shackleton was committed for trial on a charge of misappropriating £ISOO. Counsel stated that Lord Gower was ruinecT after entrusting the management of his affairs to the defendants. Garlick, who was given power of attorney, sold Lord Grower's stock and credited him with shares in the International Financial Development Corporation, and paid him alleged dividends. He also acted similarly in other cases.
