MEMORIAL SERVICE IN NELSON

AT SCHOOL OF >IUSIC TO-NIGHT. A meeting of clergymen was held yesterday afternoon to consider the matter of a united memorial service in connection with the of .Captain Scott and his party, and it was resolved that such a service should be held this evening. It was resolved that there should, not- be any chairman or president, and no announcement of any part o£ the services will he made. Copies of the order of service and the three hymns to be sungwill be placed in the hands of each worshipper, whose attention is directed- to j the note preceding the order of service, ' which makes the "" procedure • perfectly, j clear. E. : Lambert (Baptist). Mr Mourant (Methodist), and Mr >G. D. Verco (Church of Christ). The service will commence at 8 o'clock, and members of the various church choirs are requested to attend j at 7.45 to take position together on the platform. For the convenience of those who intend to be present we reprint the note to worshippers which will appear at the head of the order of service, ns follows:—(1) No announcement of any part of the service will be made. (2) The organist will play the tune of each hymn before if is sung. (3) Worshippers " arereouested to stand while the prayers are being offered. (4) Worshippers are earnestly requested not to make any demonstration of approval, els.. during? the service. TJie hyinns selected are.
