lUNirab Press Association.)
DUNEDIN, This Day. A point of much interest to workers and employers was discussed at the Arbitration Court this morning, when the Dnnedin Bakers' and Pastrycooks' dispute came up for discussion. The President, Mr Justice Sim, asked if the Union, were not prepared to accept an award that had been made in Auckland and Wellington? The union's representative said that the claim of the local union was not on all fours with those or the Northern unions. . The President said' that when the Court heard the Auckland dispute it was ■understood that any award which might be made should govern the rest of the Dominion, Court thought it oughi to be accepted without further discussion. ~, His Honor intimated that if they did not want a similar award to that in Wellington and Auckland the matter had •better stand ove r till next year. They had their choice. It was an improper attempt to go back on what was really an'understanding between the employers and the workers. The Dunedin employers were represented at Auckland. His Honor said that the -union womd bevunwise to apply for an award now The nnion's representative aak£d the Court to allow him an hour or two. to confer with the union, and the matter was held over till this afternoon
