Mr H. Atmore, M.P. for Nelson, who is in Wellington, interviewed th' 3 Ministers for Railways and Works (lions. Myers an<l McDonald) re the carriage of goods on the Kiwi-Glenhope section, and instructions have been given to carry goods from Monday or Tuesday next.
PREMIER AND OTHER MINISTERS COMING TO NJSLSON.
Mr Atmore also saw the Prime Min.'s-. ter to ascertain his views on an experimental orchard for NeTson and was informed that he was entirely in favour of it on a small scale, as soon as experts could satisfy him a 6 to the best course to adopt. Mr -Aimore further states that he saw the Prime Minister to ascertain his views, on an experimental orchard for Nelson, and was informed that he was entirely in favour oi' it on a smart scale, as soonan experts could satisfy him as to the best course to adopt. Mr Mackenzie expects to visit the district about 12th May. In regard to the road from Apoleby to Motneka the Premier is prepared to consider the matter when framing the T>timates, and would like to know what the local bodies would be prepared to do. Mr Atmore urged on the Minister for Justice the necessity for making Nelson and district a separte police district under a sub-Inspector or Inspector.
The Minister <for Works expects to ho in Nelson in a fortnight's time. The Minister for Railways will accompany him or will come with the Prime Minister.
