The National /Union 'for 'Women's Suffrage has addressed a circular to members of the House of Commons <xpressing 4 the hope that the deplorable proceedings of a small and decreasing minority will not cause members to withhold support from the Conciliation Bill. Mr Lansburv, M.P., addressing a meeting of the Women's Political Union, expressed sympathy with the imprisoned suffragettes. He said he distrusted the Government's promise, and urged the suffragettes to redouble their past efforts. Tlie printers responsible for the publication of the journal "Votes for Woment," rigorously cei,sored the current issue of all inflammatory articles.
