THE CARPENTERS DISPUTE.
WELLINGTON". Monday. The Arbitration Court's award in the carpenters dispute provides for a week's work of 45 hours. with a. minimum wage of Ik per hour. Piecework is prohibited, except in respect <jf stair building. The uniou sought to obtain 40 hours n. week, and a. minimum wage of Is 8d per hour. Most of the terms in the award, however, were based oil the provisions of the List award.
