A RAILWAY CONDUCTOR KILLED.

A PREMATURE EXPLOSION. WESTPORT, Monday. Timothy Shaw, a single man, about AO 3*-ears of age, a partner in a contract in the of the Westport-Inan-gaiiua railway, was killed to-day by being struck by a shower of stones from a blast that- had prematurely taken olace on an adjoining contract. Deceased had. an arm carried away, both legs broken, and body and facial injuries. He died about three hours after the accident occurred. Two other men named Murphy and T. Corbett were slightly injured.
