An impudent theft was committed last night iiu Sydenham, the victim, being D-r W. F. Browne, At 11 o'clock * last ■niiglit Dr. Browne placed his motor car in his garage, which is situated close to his house, and in l going there at 7.30 o'clock this morning he found that tho car was missing. A strange report in connection with the thefft of the car and the trotter Prince Warbeck gained currency in town to-day. It is alleged that the absconder from the Burniham Industrial School, who is supposed toi have stolen the horse from Yaldhursb on Monday evxMim.g, rode it into town, arndi last night .neglected' his stoleni steed for a better means of travel, and is aJUeged to have taken the car from Sydenham.. It is sta.ted that the trotter will be restored to its owner to-day, as its whereabouts became known to "the- police this: afternoon.
