DAYMAN—BISHOP.
A correspondent i writes : —A pretty i w-eidinff was celebrated on Wsdmesday last in the Cathedral, Nekcinv bv th<K Rev. Canon' Lucas, between Mr William G. Dayman', of Nelson, -and Miss■-.-Ida E. Bisiiop, of Gisborne. . The ifaiide, who was igiiven away by Mr Leslie Dixon, wore a dress of cream chiffon; taff etta, the bertha embroidered by pern-Is, .silk insertion, and' chiffon. She wore the usual wreath and veil,' and ■earriedl a shower bouquet of chrysanthemums and' maidenhair fern. , There were three bridesmaids. Miss May Bishop, sister of the bride, wore helidchiffon taffetta tight skirt, trim-, med 'with silver braid and a white hat; Misses Edith and. Conirtahce Dayman*, sisters of the bridegroom, wore cream costumes, with white hats. . All tlie bridesmaids carried horseshoe bdu.qut'ts of .-heliotrope, cosmcas ..~nd:maidenhair fccai. The bast man was Mr G. A. Day. and; Mr J. Dayman acted ,• as groomsman. The bridegroom's gift to the bride, was a go-Id oan.gle, and to the bridesma.idis. a 'gold broooh and pendant. After the ceremony th-e guests were entertained' at the -Masoiwc Hall - by the parentis' of the bride and bride-ga-oom. The presents werci- both numerous and costly, testifying to the esteem in whkfh the young couple are held throughout the district. Their future homo is in Gisborne.
