WAIMEA V. KIA ORA

The match between the Waimea and Kia Ora representatives was fought out on No. 2 ground, and ended in a victory for the former by 13 points to 3. Ki3 Ora won the toss, and played with the wind at their backs. A few- minutes after the start Challies scored a good try for Waimea, and taking the kick himself, landed a good goal. Waimea 5. Kia Ora 0. Towards the end of the first spell Learmont kicked a penalty goal for Kia Ora. The second half was all in favour of the Waimeas, Ford and J. Best scoring tries, Challies converting the former's.
