NELSON V. COLLEGE.

The championship matches of the Nelson Rugby Union were continued or, Saturday in fine weather although thero was rather an unpleasant wind blowing. The prospect ol a good game between Nelson and College attracted a record attendance at Trafalgar Park, and the expectations of the Union's patrons were realised, for despite the fact that the knowing ones predicted an easy win for * Nelson, the match ended in a draw. The match was one of rapidly moving incident, in which interest was instanced right to the finish The College team s3emed to have had about the whole of the "barracking," and the crowd _in the pavilion were worked to such a pitch as to leave their seats and crowd on to the asphalt in front of the stand. To- ' wards the end it looked as if the spectators were going to get right out of hand, but luckily "no-side" was sounded, and all was quiet again. Both teams were not fully represented, the Nelsons being without the services of Saunders and Henrys, and the College boys were without the services of Quilliam and McNab. First Gilbert Irvine, and then Clark would make a dash for the line, only to be collared just as ji «core seemed sure, then the for' wards, McCabe, Batchelor, and Harley would take a turn in attack, only to be brought down right on the line, and a good kick by one of the College backs would bring temporary relief. Once again would Nelson come to the attack, tc ' be driven back again by a fine run by Dimock, or Childs, or a line kick by Prussing or Rahuriri.
