"THE WORLD'S GREATEST NEED."
IO IHE EDITOE. Sir, — Doubtless many have read Professor Picken's address, headed "The World's Need," which appeared in your issuo of last Friday. The Professor there gives us his personal idea of a tree Christian, and goes on to say, "if some such ideal, generally accepted, be regarded as the world's greatest need, it will mean a radical change in the social organism." Now this Is very sad! It quite upsets all our fine old crusted notions. The man is a Radical. Stone him! May I suggest "Puritanical" as a convenient adjective with which to pelt such a very outspoken prophet? I am, et., SOOTHING SYRUP.
