FAILURE OF A POLL AT WELLINOTOK. [Dnit«d Pbxs9 Association.] WELLINGTON, Thursday. The petition for a poll on the halfholiday question has fallen through, as sufficient (signatures were not obtained by the Trades and Labour Council. At to-night's meeting of the Council the canvasser in charge of the petition said that he has lost a bundle of papers containing some 'ignatures. The canvasser was suspended from the Council and he was reported to lis union. f =
