SWIMMING RAGES.
NELSON BOYS' SCHOOL. The Central School boys had a spku. did day for their swimming races yesterday, both air and water being warm. As there is a bank of -'shingle extending nearly across Donne's Hole this v * ar *;he sports had to be held in onae Hole, about a mile further up tho Valley. The Championship was won by J. Shallcrass, with 17 points, F. Hockey coming second with IS, and P. Thomson third with 14 points. Among the juuiovs, F. Hamilton and P. Bennett showed remarkably fine form, both in swimming and diving. The following is a list of the winners of the events : — Under 10: F. Hamilton 1. W. Heed 2. Under 11: P Bennett 1, F. Hamilton 2.
